1. Reset Windows passwords with a password-reset disk

Go through some next easy steps then you will have a Windows password-reset disk. Once you have the disk, you can insert it when starting the PC to cause Windows to display the 'Reset password' option at the login screen, allowing you to regain access to the system.
In case you forgot your Windows password and have not created a password-reset disk before, just follow method 2 or method 3.

2. Reset Windows passwords by using Command Prompt

Note: This method works well in Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 (R2 SP1) but does not work in Windows 10. I have not tested with other Windows versions. If you are using Windows 10 then please follow method 3.
If you usually use Common Prompt (Command Line) then this method would be perfect for you!
To list all User in Windows, you can use the command:
net user
To reset a Windows password by Command Prompt, use the following command:
net user UserName NewPassword
Replace UserName with your Windows account username, NewPassword with your new desired password
Problem here is how to open Windows Command Prompt if we forgot our Windows passwords?
Here is a tip:
- Windows will open Sticky Keys screen if you press "Shift" key five times (Sticky Keys screen can open without loging in to Windows). That means if you press "Shift" key five times, the application sethc.exe, located on c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe will run (don't need any Windows passwords)
- You have to replace the file c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe (Sticky Keys) with the file c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe (Command Prompt). Then reset your computer, at Windows Logon Screen, you press "Shift" key five times to open Command Prompt window... and user the above commands to reset your passwords.

Replace sethc.exe with cmd.exe

You can replace sethc.exe with cmd.exe by using a Hiren's Boot CD (or USB) then Load Mini Windows XP. In Windows Explorer of Windows XP Mini, you can easily copy and replace the file sethc.exe with cmd.exe.
If you do not have Hiren's Boot CD, please follow the instructions below:
- Boot your computer to “Repair your computer” mode
